Our 100% natural sisal fiber rope is one of the most durable natural-fiber rope. While exceeded by manila rope in weight rating, sisal is more resistant to rot than manila. It is also is more resistant to breaking down in salt water and in ultraviolet light than other natural fibers. Its rough surface gives decorations a vintage look and provides excellent grip for practical applications. If the greater strength of manila rope is not needed, sisal is a more economical option that still offers many of the useful qualities of manila, and has many benefits all its own.

I don't use it it the usual manner. I unwind the rope and use the fibers to make miniature trees for my "N" scale model railroad. Sisal fibers are the best for this use, and my little trees look great. Since I have enough rope for 5,000 trees I probably won't be buying any more for quite a while, but I'm quite pleased with my purchase and I will recommend your rope to other model railroaders.
