How to Tie a Clove Hitch Knot

How to Tie a Clove Hitch Knot

Clove Hitch can be used as a crossing knot (macramé knotting) or for utility use. This easy to tie knot can even be done with one hand. A round pole or object is best for this kind of knot because it will hold better than if it was tied on a rectangular or square post.

This knot is easy to tie and untie. It has multiple functions including hanging up hammocks, hoisting items, and even starting a macramé or other decorative craft. However, it does easily slip and is difficult to untie when a thinner cord is used to hold a heavy load.

Follow the tutorial below for step-by-step instructions on how to create the clove hitch knot.
